Thai major bank group Non-contact shopping Payment terminal released October 8 4:27

Amid growing interest in technologies that help prevent the infection of the new coronavirus, a major Thai banking group has released contactless terminals that allow users to shop and pay without touching the screen. The spread of technology is likely to progress.

A group company of Kasikornbank in Thailand held an event in Bangkok on the 7th to introduce contactless technology, and unveiled terminals under demonstration experiments.

Of these, the terminal developed in collaboration with restaurants displays a menu on the screen, and users can order drinks simply by bringing their fingers close to each other without touching the screen.

Payment can also be made cashless by scanning the QR code displayed on the terminal with a smartphone.

We also introduced a new system that allows you to exchange money with your smartphone within 10 meters using a communication function called Bluetooth.

In Thailand, cashless payments are accelerating, with smartphone payments and remittances more than doubling since the spread of the new coronavirus infection, and companies are competing to acquire users.

The company hopes to spread these contactless technologies in earnest next year, which will lead to an increase in customers.

At a press conference, Lunglot, chairman of Kasikornbank's group company, said, "The new Corona is an opportunity to accelerate technological development.

Ultimately, it will improve customer convenience."
