The online medical company Kry is accused of deceiving patients.

According to critics, Kry plays an ugly game in which citizens are misled into listing themselves at their health centers in order to receive the care money that comes with each patient.

- I have received several testimonies about patients who did not understand that a listing with Kry means that they opt out of their current health center, says Ylva Sandström, chairman of the District Medical Association in Stockholm.

The Minister of Social Affairs is angry

The reporting has provoked strong reactions.

The Social Affairs Committee's chairman Acko Ankarberg Johansson (KD) writes to SVT that the reporting has shown shortcomings that need to be improved.

Minister of Social Affairs Lena Hallengren tweets that the patients' testimonies make her angry.

"That should not happen, and the regions are responsible for that," she writes to SVT News.

Requires change

The regional political opposition now demands that the regulations regarding the listing be reviewed.

- This is part of their business concept.

The fact that people miss that they are re-listing reinforces the image that Kry has an aggressive way of attracting customers, says Mattias Olsson (S), opposition politician in Region Skåne.

Welcome Kry

The Stockholm Region and the Skåne Region have both opened up to clarify the regulations.

At the same time, the governing politicians emphasize that they welcome Kry's establishment and that they follow the rules that are in place.

Unjustified criticism

Kry's representatives think that the criticism of the company is unjustified and believe that the accusations are not true.

- We make continuous changes to the information in our app to make it as clear as possible what it means to list.

We also have a continuous dialogue with the regions about how it can be clearer, says Claes Nyberg who is acting press manager for Kry.
