Forge received the award from Foreign Minister Anna Hallberg (S) at an award ceremony at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Stockholm.

This year, Robyn, Håkan Hardenberger, Smith & Thell and Snoh ​​Aalegra were also nominated.

The prize is awarded every year to Swedes who have achieved international success and contributed to a positive image of Sweden abroad.

This year's dividend was supposed to have taken place on March 25, but was postponed due to the corona pandemic.

The music export prize has been awarded since 1997. Previous winners include Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson, Max Martin, Robyn, Swedish House Mafia and Avicii.

This year's honorary award goes to record company veteran Marie Dimberg, who among other things worked with Roxette. At the ceremony, the former laureate Marie Fredriksson was also honored with a performance by singer Amanda Ginsburg and pianist Filip Ekestubbe.
