Striker Francesco Caputo scored in his first match with Italy, at the age of 33, in a landslide 6-0 victory over Moldova, while Mexico spoiled the start of Frank Debor's career with the Netherlands national team, beating him 1-0 in Amsterdam.

The two matches were held within the framework of the FIFA International Day friendly matches that took place on Wednesday, as part of the preparations for the teams to resume the European Football League Championship this month.

In a one-sided match, Stefan El Shaarawy scored a brace, while Brian Cristante and Domenico Berardi scored their first goals for Italy, and Vesceslav Bosmak also scored by mistake, to complete a disastrous night for the guests.

Italy started a trial squad, making Caputo the second oldest player to play in an international match for Italy.

However, coach Roberto Mancini's side were strong enough to beat the guests to extend their unbeaten run to 17 games in a row.

Italy ended the first half with a 5-0 advance, for the first time in an international match since 1987.

The visitors' defense was more organized in the second half, but Berardi scored the sixth goal in the 72nd minute.

A disappointing start for Debor

In another match, Mexico spoiled the start of Frank Debor's career with the Netherlands national team, after achieving a 1-0 victory over the hosts.

Raul Jimenez compensated for wasting several chances in the first half and scored the match’s only goal from a penalty kick after an hour of play, after he was mistaken by defender Nathan Aki.

The win is due to Mexico after creating many chances in exchange for an average appearance for the Netherlands.

Debor brought in duo Thion Copminers and Owen Vindal for the first time with the Netherlands national team, while resting some key players before playing in the Nations League with Bosnia on Sunday and Italy on Tuesday.

But the start wasn't good for the coach who took over at the helm of the Netherlands after Ronald Koeman moved to Barcelona.

Goalkeeper Tim Kroll played his first international match with the Netherlands in 5 years, and saved a dangerous attempt by Jesus in the 55th minute, but despite his impressive record in saving penalty kicks, he was unable to clear the Jimenez ball.

The Netherlands missed the opportunity to tie near the end through Luke de Jong and Memphis Depay.
