Eduardo Camavinga became Wednesday at 17 years and 10 months the youngest goalscorer of the post-war Blues, the second in the history of the French team, by scoring against Ukraine in a friendly match at the Stade de France.

The Rennes midfielder, tenured for the first time with the Blues on the evening of his second selection, was preceded in this record ranking by Maurice Gastiger, scorer at 17 years and 5 months, on March 8, 1914 against Switzerland (2-2 ), also on the day of his second cape.

He scored in the 9th minute, with a nice return.

Camavinga, who will turn 18 on November 10, is also the third youngest player in history to wear the Blues jersey, after coming into play against Croatia in September (4-2), a match where he had already almost scored on a long shot.

For comparison, Kylian Mbappé scored his first goal at 18 years and 8 months, on August 31, 2017 against the Netherlands (4-0).
