A 102-year-old American grandmother, who has consistently participated in voting since 1940, drew attention for her'unique preparation' in this year's presidential election.

On the 6th of the local time, foreign media such as CNN in the United States reported that Beatrice Lumpkin, who is vulnerable to Corona 19 as an elderly person, was'heavy armed' to vote.

Recently, the Chicago Teachers' Association shared a picture of a retired teacher, Mr. Lumpkin, on social media.

The photo shows Mr. Lumpkin, in protective clothing that covers from head to toe, out with a gloved hand to put a ballot for the 2020 U.S. presidential election in a mailbox.

The protective gear worn on the head was handcrafted by a grandson who knew Mr. Lumpkin's passion for voting.

Mr. Lumpkin is said to have been voting without fail since he first voted in the presidential election 80 years ago, when former US President Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected.

Mr. Lumpkin, who voted without fail in the midst of the Corona 19 pandemic, encouraged Americans, saying, "I am 102 years old and I voted, so anyone can vote.

He stressed that "the basic rights and democracy of the people are at stake."

In the United States, where pre-voting and mail-by-mail votes are taking place ahead of the presidential election on the 3rd of next month, as of the 6th (local time), more than 4 million voters have already voted.

Compared to the 2016 presidential election, more than 50 times more voters have finished voting in the same period.
