The head of state signed the corresponding decree No. 421/2020 on October 6, ”the statement says.
Earlier, the media, citing a source in the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, reported that the likely cause of the An-26 crash near Kharkov was an engine failure.
Military aircraft An-26, on board which were seven officers and 20 cadets of the Kharkiv National University of the Air Force named after Kozhedub, crashed on the evening of September 25 while landing in the Kharkiv region.
The bodies of 25 dead were found at the crash site, another person died in the hospital. One cadet survived.
