“Azerbaijan’s reports that Armenian military units tried to strike at the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline are a blatant lie.
We have repeatedly stated that the oil and gas infrastructure is not our target, ”the press secretary of the Armenian department Shushan Stepanyan was quoted by TASS.
At the same time, the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan stated that "on October 6 at about 21:00, the armed forces of the occupying country fired on the part of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline passing through the Yevlakh region."
They clarified that the Azerbaijani army managed to stop the shelling attempt.
Earlier, the Armenian Defense Ministry denied Baku's statement about shelling the city of Ganja from the territory of the Berd region of the republic.
