The circumstances of the drama are very confused for the time being.

Monday evening in Nantes, a road accident caused the death of a 30-year-old man.

The victim was riding a scooter along the Quai de la Fosse when the accident occurred, shortly after 10 p.m.

But when the firefighters arrived, the two-wheeler was gone, as were the driver's helmet and personal effects, police reported.

The young man was transported to the Nantes University Hospital where he finally died from his injuries.

To try to find out more about the circumstances of the tragedy, the investigators of the accident and traffic offenses brigade launched a call for witnesses.
