Additional hospitals for coronavirus patients have begun operating in Moscow.

Institutions are located in the Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Center and the Krylatskoye Ice Palace.

The complex that has opened in Sokolniki includes a hospital and an observatory, which will house those who, for various reasons, cannot observe the regime of self-isolation at home, but at the same time want to protect their loved ones from infection.

The observatory provides comfortable conditions for a temporary stay with bathrooms and Wi-Fi.

It is noted that the hospital in Sokolniki has already begun admitting patients.

This was announced by the head physician of the Inozemtsev State Clinical Hospital, Alexander Mitichkin.

The temporary institution is assigned to this particular hospital.

“Yesterday we opened our temporary hospital in Sokolniki, we didn't have to wait long for the first patients.

Already today, the first ambulances with the sick have arrived to us, "RIA Novosti Mitichkina quotes.

According to him, "at the moment, all the services of the hospital are already working."

“The electronic medical history works well, which reduces the time we spend on helping patients.

Patients are accommodated as comfortable as possible, ”he said.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin previously stressed that we are talking about modern clinics equipped with everything you need.

“These are not some buildings made in a hurry, these are infectious clinics that meet the most modern requirements, the most modern standard, equipped with all the necessary equipment,” said Sergei Sobyanin during a visit to the hospital at the Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Center.

Deputy Mayor of Moscow Anastasia Rakova said that there are still enough beds for coronavirus patients in Moscow, but the reserves are not endless.

“But let's be frank - there is always a finite number of beds, and no matter how much we unfold them, they will come to an end one day,” she said on the air of the Russia 1 TV channel.

Rakova added that, if necessary, two more temporary hospitals for patients with coronavirus can be reopened - the Moscow shopping center and the center at VDNKh.

Recall that the organization of temporary hospitals for patients with coronavirus infection became known in May.

As the then Deputy Mayor of Moscow Pyotr Biryukov said, several objects were chosen for medical institutions, including the Sokolniki Park, Krylatskoe, VDNKh, the EXPO complex and the Moscow shopping center.

Temporary hospitals were assigned to large multidisciplinary hospitals and were housed in facilities such as shopping malls, exhibition and sports facilities.

This choice made it possible to build spacious hospitals with good ventilation while minimizing the burden on the city budget.

They are included in the general city network, which allows dispatchers to monitor their workload, and have ventilators, resuscitation wards, and are also able to conduct intensive therapy if necessary.

Based on the previous statements of representatives of the mayor's office, the hospital in Sokolniki is designed for 1.2 thousand beds, and the facility in Krylatskoye - for 1.1 thousand beds.

The situation in Moscow

Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin said that the situation with COVID-19 in the capital "is becoming more complicated and dramatic."

The mayor's office clarified that two anti-records have been set in Moscow - for the number of new cases of coronavirus (4088) and for the number of hospitalized per day (1049).

In this regard, the mayor announced a number of new restrictive measures.

In particular, since October 9, Moscow has suspended the validity of social cards so that schoolchildren, the elderly and people with chronic diseases stay at home.

Along with this, the sale of tickets to theaters, concert halls, museums and other cultural and leisure institutions subordinate to the Moscow Government is being transferred to electronic format.

Sobyanin explained that this decision will allow "to control the maximum occupancy of the halls and compliance with the seating rules."

In addition, the mayor ordered all enterprises and organizations of the city to inform the Moscow government on a weekly basis about the transfer of at least 30% of employees to remote operation.

At the same time, the Moscow Main Control Directorate believes that the current measures against the spread of coronavirus infection will be sufficient to avoid the introduction of a new access control.

The head of the department Yevgeny Danchikov spoke about this.

"Now we are not talking about this, there are no such decisions, I hope that ... the measures that exist today, and if we strictly adhere to them, this will be enough to ensure that we reduce the growth rate of coronavirus infection," quoted by Danchikov TASS.
