His health continues to improve

Trump has been writing 20 tweets since the morning, mostly about the election

US President Donald Trump has written nearly 20 tweets on the social networking site "Twitter" since early morning, most of them about the presidential elections scheduled for next November.

His infection with the Coronavirus caused a cooling off in his election campaign.

White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows expressed optimism that Trump would be discharged from hospital later on Monday, and stressed that Trump "continues to improve."

In a statement to Fox News, Meadows said that the medical team will assess Trump's condition during the morning (local time).

He added in the statement: "We are still optimistic that he will be able to return to the White House later today."

And some issues about Trump's disease remain murky.

Doctors said yesterday that the US president's oxygen levels dropped twice and he received additional oxygen at least once.

He also had a high temperature, but his temperature was not revealed.

Trump's doctor Sean Conley said the medical team was still awaiting further checks on his lungs.
