The woman was sentenced in July by Eksjö District Court to ten years in prison for several cases of aggravated rape against two related children, as well as child pornography offenses.
The abuse must have been filmed, films that she must then have sent to a man she then had a relationship with.
The man was sentenced in the district court to 6.5 years in prison for inciting several of the crimes, as well as child pornography crimes.
Both appealed their judgments to the Court of Appeal and on Monday the trial began, which will last for a total of five days.
The trial is being held behind closed doors and will end on October 14.
