Corona postpones the swearing-in ceremony of the new Polish ministers

Today, it was announced that the swearing-in ceremony of new ministers in Poland will be postponed, and the application of quarantine for many government officials, after the prospective Polish Education Minister Shmislav Sharnik was confirmed to be infected with the Corona virus.

The head of the Health Inspectorate said in a tweet, this afternoon, that the officials who have been linked to Sharnick since Friday need to be quarantined.

Those officials are Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sassen, outgoing Minister of Education Dariush Piontkovsky, Prime Minister's Chancellery, Michel Dvorczyk, and another official, government spokesman Pyotr Mueller said in a tweet.

A government spokesman wrote in a tweet that due to the positive test result of Sharnik, Prime Minister Matyusz Murawiecki asked President Andrei Duda to postpone the swearing-in ceremony of the new ministers, which was scheduled to take place today.

No new date has been set for the ceremony.

Sharnick said he is in good condition, according to his tweet.

He underwent a corona virus test Monday morning for feeling a headache.
