The Ministry of Education said that the information about the transfer of Moscow schools to distance learning is not true.
The department indicated that now classes are suspended in 0.3% of Russian schools and we are talking about targeted measures.
“We remind you that the educational process is now provided in all regions of the country, and the information about the allegedly made decisions on the transition to distance learning on the scale of the whole region, disseminated in the media, does not correspond to reality,” the message says.
The department recalled that the educational system of Moscow "is on a planned vacation, and information about other decisions has not been reported."
Along with this, the message indicates that the Ministry of Education is constantly monitoring the general situation in the country.
The department urged to trust only official sources and "not to disseminate information that may be misleading."
In addition, against this background, the Ministry of Education and Science said that they are not yet considering the issue of transferring universities to distance learning.
According to RIA Novosti with reference to the head of the department Valery Falkov, the situation is dynamic and everything depends on the epidemiological situation in a particular region.
Two-week vacation in Moscow
Earlier, Deputy Minister of Education of Russia Denis Gribov said that the department is not considering the issue of a massive transition of schools to remote work.
“Only if there is a focus of the disease, then a certain environment is transferred to self-isolation.
Now in many schools the vacation period begins, including in Moscow.
We hope that the situation in the country as a whole will change in a positive direction, ”TASS quotes Gribov.
Recall that by the decision of the mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin, Moscow schoolchildren were sent on a two-week vacation from 5 to 18 October.
The mayor stressed that there will be no distance learning at this time.
The mayor's office explained that a two-week vacation for Moscow schoolchildren will minimize the risks of COVID-19 infection against the background of an increase in the number of detected cases of the disease.
Later, speaking with congratulations on Teacher's Day, Sobyanin spoke about the effectiveness of distance learning, introduced earlier due to the spread of the coronavirus.
“Even despite the pandemic, despite the fact that we spent a significant part of the school year remotely, the quality of education practically did not suffer.
The level of the exam was not lower than in previous years, ”the mayor said.
"The system is created as needed"
On October 5, Vladimir Putin held a meeting with teachers and students of pedagogical universities, at which the head of state spoke about distance learning in Russia.
According to him, work in this direction is underway, but there can be no talk of a complete transition to such a format.
Putin stressed that "talk about closing schools, about an alleged complete transition to a distance learning format in the future, are not serious."
“Because no matter how technology develops, it is joint work, creativity, direct, direct communication between a student and a teacher that gives a high quality of education,” the head of state said.
At the same time, in an interview with one of the teachers, Putin noted that the distance education system in Russia is indeed being formed.
“We create such a system out of necessity, but life forces us to create such a system,” the president said.
Putin also discussed other issues of the work of teachers and the organization of the educational process.
In particular, he called on the regional authorities not to abandon the previously introduced allowances for teachers in the amount of 5 thousand rubles.
The President called the decision to approve this payment absolutely correct.
“Once again I want to say to my fellow governors: in no case should we remove the regional allowances for pedagogical work in many regions, in no case,” the head of state emphasized.
Along with this, Putin announced the need to provide access to broadband Internet in schools within the next year.
Speaking about the availability of distance learning, the head of state also mentioned the availability of Internet access in Russian families.
“By 2030, access to high-speed, broadband Internet should be provided almost 100% throughout the country, and equipment should be available,” the president said.
