The White House said that US President Trump is receiving an antiviral drug remdesivir and an antibody therapy currently being developed to treat COVID-19.

President Sean Conley's doctor said in a statement that President Trump, who was admitted to Waltard Military Hospital in Maryland, has begun taking remdesivir.

Gilead Science's antiviral drug remdesivir was approved for emergency use by the Food and Drug Administration FDA in May as a treatment for Corona 19.

It is mainly used for the treatment of severely ill patients and is administered to severely ill patients in Korea.

President Trump doesn't appear to be severe, but the New York Times and others cited his aides and said he was showing mild fever, stuffy nose and coughing.

"The president does not need any oxygen supply," Conley said. "The president has chosen to start treatment with remdesivir in consultation with experts," he said. "The president is resting comfortably after one dose.

In a data distributed the day before, Conley's doctor said that the US biotech company Regeneron administered 8g, an antibody treatment, to President Trump.
