Today, Sunday, the Grand Mosque in Makkah Al-Mukarramah receives the first batch of pilgrims after a nine-month hiatus due to the emerging Corona virus.

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque said in a statement yesterday that it has completed its preparations and energies to receive the pilgrims from pilgrims and pilgrims, applying the highest precautionary measures and measures in cooperation with the competent authorities, as it has recruited at least 1000 employees to follow the rituals of the Umrah at the Grand Mosque.

It is scheduled that 6000 pilgrims will perform the rituals per day as a first step, according to certain health controls.

Relatedly, the Saudi Ministry of Health announced yesterday that 27 new deaths from the Coronavirus have been recorded, bringing the total deaths in the Kingdom due to infection with the virus to 4,850 cases.

In a statement, the Ministry indicated that 419 new cases of the virus were recorded, bringing the total number of infections in the Kingdom to 335,997 cases.

It pointed out that 626 new recoveries were recorded, bringing the total of those recovering to 320,974 people.

Yesterday, the Ministry of Health in Kuwait announced the registration of five new deaths from the emerging corona virus, bringing the total deaths due to “Covid-19” disease to 620. The spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, said that 371 new cases of the virus were recorded, bringing the total. Casualties to 106,458.

For its part, the Ministry of Health and Environment in Iraq announced yesterday that 49 deaths from the emerging corona virus have been recorded, bringing the total deaths from the virus to 9,347 cases.

In a statement, the Ministry indicated that 3,672 new cases of the virus were recorded, bringing the total number of infections to 375,931.

And in Ramallah, the Palestinian Minister of Health, Mai Al-Keela, announced yesterday that 406 new infections with the new Corona virus and 11 deaths were recorded during the past 24 hours.
