The UAE participates in the signing ceremony of the Sudanese peace agreement

Suhail bin Muhammad Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, headed the state delegation participating in the signing ceremony of the Sudanese peace agreement between the Sudanese government and the Sudanese armed movements in an initiative that Juba had embraced.

During the signing ceremony, Suhail bin Faraj Al Mazrouei delivered the state’s speech during which he referred to the support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, for this comprehensive agreement, which contributes to supporting security and stability and ending conflict and fighting in the brotherly Sudan.

In his speech, he also praised the mediation efforts and the efforts made by His Excellency President Salva Kiir Mayardit - President of the Republic of South Sudan, the mediation committee represented by Counselor Tut Qalwak and all the committee parties that contributed to reaching this historic agreement.

He added that this is a historic and important moment in the march of the Sudanese people, and it is underlined by everyone, siding with the principles of peace sought to achieve security and tranquility and to end the causes of conflict and fighting .. wishing His Excellency to prevail security and prosperity in Sudan.

The delegations of the participating countries and the armed movements praised the efforts and role of the United Arab Emirates in urging the Sudanese parties at an earlier time in order to reach an agreement leading to the stability of Sudan.

The delegation accompanying His Excellency included His Excellency Hamad Muhammad Al Junaibi, the country's ambassador in Khartoum, and His Excellency Salem Mohammed Al Zaabi, Director of the International Security Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
