Hear Lena Algeskär in the clip above talk about how she got the idea for her book debut.

- I woke up at 02:00 and suddenly I knew, it just flowed out of me, says Lena Algeskär.

The book is about Maja and her experiences during the pandemic.

Things that are different, things you are not allowed to do and things you must do.

It is aimed at children between 3-9 years and the idea for a children's book came to Lena Algeskär when the granddaughter started asking questions about the coronavirus.

- Then I thought that a book was needed to explain in a simple way.

More on the way

She published the book on her own without any publisher behind her.

But so far more than 200 copies have been sold and more have been ordered.

- The reception has been very good.

In addition to writing, Lena Algeskär works full time at a group home.

Even there, there is a target group for her book, she experiences, with the simple appeal and the colorful pictures.

But becoming a full-time author is not something she plans, even though several sequels to the book about Maja are already underway.

- No, I'm too restless for that.

But I would definitely like to develop my writing more.
