The Attorney General, Counselor Dr. Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, issued, at the end of last March, a decision bearing No. (38) for the year 2020, regarding the application of the regulation for controlling violations and administrative penalties issued under Cabinet Resolution No. 17 of 2020, to limit the spread of the Corona virus, which stipulated To implement penalties for violators with a fine of 5000 dirhams, in the event that a medical examination is refused upon request, with the fine being doubled in the event of a repeat violation, and the offender is referred to the Emergency and Crisis Prosecution when the violation is committed for the third time.

In its circular, the department clarified that in all cases the concerned authorities may take the necessary measures against violators to implement the instructions and circulars issued by the government, including charging the violator with the costs and costs of handling the damages resulting from the violation, transferring the violation to the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Prosecution at the Federal Public Prosecution, and closing the violating facility. A period not exceeding six months, subject to extension.
