The coronavirus infection-19 (Corona 19), which is shaking the US capital Washington, DC, has been suspended until the Senate schedule.

House leader Mitch McConnell of the Republican Party, which is the majority of the Senate, said on the 3rd (local time) that it will reschedule the Congress, which is scheduled until the 19th.

Accordingly, various schedules of the Senate, including meetings, are scheduled to be postponed until the 19th, about two weeks later.

However, Congressman McConnell held on to the position that he would approve the nominee of Federal Justice Amy Connie Barrett before the presidential election.

In a statement, the president of McConnell emphasized that Corona 19 will not affect the Barrett nominee approval schedule.

The Republican Party was initially in a position to hold a personnel hearing on the 12th and complete the vote for approval before the presidential election on November 3rd.

If the schedule is adjusted due to Corona 19, the Republican Party is expected to promote a plan to hold a personnel hearing after the 19th.

Earlier in the Republican Party, Senators Mike Lee and Tom Tillys, who attended the nomination ceremony for Supreme Court Justice Barrett at the White House, were confirmed.

Senate Homeland Security Commissioner Ron Johnson was also confirmed and entered quarantine.
