On Friday, October 2, a prototype of a new reserved seat carriage for long-distance trains was presented at the Paveletsky Railway Station Square in Moscow. The peculiarity of this concept lies in its increased dimensions, due to which it was possible to increase the length of the passenger shelves by 12-15 cm and expand the overall space inside the car. According to Dmitry Pegov, Deputy Director General of Russian Railways, in the second half of 2021, new carriages will begin to carry passengers in one of the southern directions.
