A draft agreement resulting from negotiations between management and the unions of Radio France, providing for voluntary departures, half of which will be replaced, has been validated by five unions, which represent a large majority of employees, said the public group.

Of the 340 voluntary departures open by 2022, retirements and end of career will be favored, and Radio France "will replace more than half of these departures", according to the press release.

These replacements and job creation will allow 271 hires by the end of 2022, 70% of which should be offered to non-permanent employees (freelancers, fixed-term contracts, etc.).

"This broad majority agreement is the culmination of a balanced and responsible social dialogue," adds Radio France.

This project was signed by CFDT, FO, SNJ, SUD and Unsa, which together represent 75% of employees.

The group relaunched negotiations in September on its departure plan, presented last year and which initially provided for the elimination of more than 250 positions.

A project which is part of a savings plan of 60 million euros and which had provoked the longest strike in the history of the group and of the public broadcasting sector, at the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020 (63 days in total) .

Negotiations were frozen since containment.

Before they resume at the start of the school year, the CEO of Radio France Sibyle Veil was committed to reviewing her copy, in particular to take into account the consequences of the health crisis.
