The Parisian street artist, Wilfrid A., was indicted this Friday for "rape" and "sexual assault" and placed in pre-trial detention, we learned from a judicial source.

He is accused by more than thirty women.

The man was presented to a Parisian examining magistrate at the end of his police custody, which began on Wednesday in the 2nd judicial police district (2nd DPJ) as part of a preliminary investigation opened on June 26.

Four days earlier, the magazine

Neon

had published an investigation in which women testified and accused of rape or sexual violence this Parisian artist, known for his tag "Love runs the streets" appearing in many places in Paris.

Sometimes minor victims

"With the help of his two hats, that of the street artist and that of the photographer, Wilfrid A. would indulge in a tireless hunt, which could be described as frenzied, at very young women, and this for at least a decade" , wrote the magazine.

Following the article, a first complaint was filed in June, then 25 women aged 19 to 49 in turn denounced the facts to justice in early July, according to their complaint consulted by AFP.

Twelve accuse him of "rape", thirteen of "sexual assault", some being minor at the time of the facts, according to this complaint filed by Me Valentine Rebérioux and Me Louise Bouchain.

The same process told by the victims

These 25 women describe the same "ploy" on the part of Wilfrid A., described as a "sexual predator" playing on his "notoriety" to "attack his victims".

Wilfrid A "approaches young women in the street" and "compliments" them then "generally offers them to become his photo models or even the muses of his brand", according to this complaint.

When they arrive at her home, young women are often offered drugs or alcohol.

Becoming violent or aggressive, the artist would then have imposed on some sexual penetrations, on others sexual assaults.

The complaint was accompanied by the testimony of 11 women, for older and prescribed assaults.

Wilfrid A.'s lawyer was not immediately reachable.

Contacted at the time of the complaint, Me Joseph Cohen-Sabban replied that “an investigation does not begin in a magazine but in a police department.

We do not respond to rumors, but to facts.

"" My client is ready to explain himself to the investigators, "he added, referring to his" fear of being lynched "after being the target of" threats ".
