German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Friday that the coming days would be decisive in the negotiations between London and Brussels on the post-Brexit trade relationship.

She made this statement after a week of negotiations, the last officially on the agenda.

“As long as the negotiations continue, I am optimistic, but I cannot announce a breakthrough.

It will be decided in the coming days, ”she added.
