Sources reported to Al-Jazeera that Egyptian security forces have pushed reinforcements in squares in Cairo, Giza and Alexandria, coinciding with calls for demonstrations today in Tahrir Square in Cairo under the slogan "The Second Friday of Anger."

The Egyptian artist and businessman Mohamed Ali also broadcast a video clip on his Facebook page, calling for participation in the demonstrations, and stressing the need for Egyptians to adhere to their demands and topple the Sisi regime.

On the other hand, Egyptian media published pictures of rallies in support of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Al-Manassa Square in Nasr City, east of Cairo, and stated that the rallies celebrated the anniversary of the October War.

The Awamiya area in the Luxor governorate in the south of the country has witnessed the past two days clashes between citizens and the Egyptian police, during the funeral of a dead man shot by security forces.

Meanwhile, Amnesty International criticized the Egyptian security forces' handling of the protests in the country in the past two weeks.

The organization stated - in a statement - that Egyptian security forces killed two demonstrators and used live ammunition, tear gas and batons to disperse the demonstrations, adding that the Egyptian security forces also carried out hundreds of arbitrary arrests and enforced disappearances, noting that about 500 people are currently in detention.

The director of research in the Middle East and North Africa division of the organization, Philip Luther, called on the Egyptian authorities to conduct an urgent investigation into the killing of two people by bullets by the security forces.

He also called for the immediate and unconditional release of all those detained solely for exercising their right to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly.
