China Overseas Chinese Network, October 2 According to the "Russian Dragon" report, there is a bright moon on the sea, and the world is at this time. October 1 is China's National Day, which also coincides with the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival.

On the 28th, the Chinese Embassy in Russia held a special event for Chinese students studying in Russia to celebrate the "Double Festival" with the students studying in Russia in a foreign country.

Under the epidemic, how are the students going to celebrate the holidays?

Ambassadors send blessings to students studying in Russia online and offline

In view of the current situation of the epidemic, the meeting at the Chinese Embassy in Russia will be conducted in two ways: online and offline.

The embassy held this event mainly for two reasons. First, on the occasion of the "Double Festival", the embassy gave holiday blessings to students studying in Russia, and on the other hand, considering the current rebound of the epidemic in Russia, it reminded students to strengthen epidemic prevention.

During the event, the ambassador had a cordial exchange with the students, expressing his blessings and expectations for the young students.

The embassy also distributed health packs and moon cakes to international students, so that students in foreign countries can take good personal protection and feel the festive atmosphere.

Lowe is a senior at Moscow State University of Humanities and has been studying in Russia for five years.

As a student representative, Lowe participated in the offline meeting.

"We can feel the care and love from our motherland, and the students are grateful."

Lowe introduced that considering the epidemic situation, most students participated online.

Chen Haotian, a preparatory student of Pushkin Russian Academy, watched the event live online.

"After the epidemic, I have been paying close attention to the information released by the embassy. In foreign countries, the embassy is our second home." Chen Haotian said frankly that after the outbreak, the embassy has been actively helping international students solve the problem of protective materials and medicines.

"The health packs are distributed in three batches. The most serious case is when the embassy sends a car to the foreign students. The last two batches are distributed to schools and are distributed by schools. They are still being supplied."

"Moon cakes, Chinese food, we all have them"

The overseas students originally planned to have a dinner together on the "Double Festival", but recently, represented by Moscow, the epidemic situation in Russia has rebounded, and the holiday plan has also been temporarily changed.

"We originally planned to eat Chinese food together, but the current epidemic made us a little worried, and we finally decided not to go. Our awareness of epidemic prevention is very strong." Chen Haotian said.

On festivals, foreigners miss the taste of their hometown.

"After studying in Russia for 5 years, I almost forgot the taste of my hometown cuisine, but I miss it very much," said Lowe.

For Chen Haotian, who spent the Mid-Autumn Festival in Russia for the first time, this year's Mid-Autumn Festival is somewhat different.

"Last year I came to Moscow after the Mid-Autumn Festival, and I brought moon cakes for everyone. This year, I especially wanted to eat Chinese food in Moscow. Although we can't go to the restaurant, we also plan to have dinner with friends at home and cook some special dishes."

On the Mid-Autumn Festival, moon cakes are the "hometown taste" common to all Chinese people. International students can also buy moon cakes in Russia.

Chen Haotian and his friends ordered a batch of mooncakes in advance at a Chinese restaurant in Moscow, "We are going to distribute them to friends around us to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival." For Lowe, ordering mooncakes during the Mid-Autumn Festival has also become a habit.

Although you cannot spend the holidays with your family, you can still "meet in the cloud."

Lowe said, "The video function can't just be used for online classes. Today I am going to make a video call to my parents and friends. I haven't seen it for a long time and I really miss it."
