The Omsk medical community published an open letter in which it responded to the statement by Alexei Navalny that he allegedly did not receive adequate medical assistance during his stay in the Omsk emergency hospital No. 1 (BSMP-1).

The statement was published on the website of the Omsk regional organization of the trade union of health workers.

The letter notes that "the harsh reaction of the liberal public to the actions of the Omsk doctors in the rescue of Alexei Navalny goes beyond all boundaries of ethics and common sense."

Doctors recalled that an ambulance arrived at the airport 16 minutes after receiving a signal from the aircraft crew about the blogger's deterioration in health.

17 minutes after being carried out on a stretcher, he was taken to the hospital, after which for 44 hours doctors fought for his life.

At the same time, Navalny's supporters are currently trying to denigrate those who provided the patient with the necessary assistance, the letter says.

“People without medical education make diagnoses, talk about treatment, manipulate information.

In fact, we are faced with such a phenomenon as a “political” diagnosis, which has nothing to do with medicine, ”the letter says.

The doctors indicated that these people are “more interested in the bathroom in the admission department, which is currently being renovated,” than in the facts about the patient's condition, which were obtained thanks to the modern equipment that the medical center is equipped with.

"The medical community of Omsk reacted extremely negatively to the words of the former patient of emergency hospital No. 1 Alexei Navalny, who in fact accused the hospital doctors of not providing him with adequate medical care," the statement says.

Omsk doctors noted that the blogger's case turned out to be extraordinary, but not the most unique, interesting and difficult with which they had to work.

“The fact that Mr. Navalny is rapidly returning to an active life today speaks precisely of the fact that his life was saved in Omsk,” the doctors concluded.

Earlier, in an interview with the German newspaper Spiegel, Alexei Navalny said that the doctors who treated him at the Omsk hospital "must appear before the court in an honest trial."

“In my eyes, the head physician of the hospital in Omsk is worse than the secret service officers who kill people.

For them, killing is at least their job.

However, he (the doctor) knows everything and tells the world something about metabolic disorders, that I drank too much moonshine.

People who call themselves doctors and who want to wait for me to die.

Do I hate them?

Perhaps, ”Navalny said.

National Association of Honored Doctors of the Russian Federation

also published a statement in which she called Navalny's accusations blasphemous and inadmissible, and noted that they should not remain unanswered.

“In the whole story with Mr. Navalny and in the way it develops, we see only a dirty political game,” the association said.

They again recalled that the best doctors of the Omsk emergency hospital №1 fought for the patient's life for two days, and that in the Omsk hospital all the necessary tests were taken from him, and their results were presented to German doctors "who highly appreciated the professionalism of their Russian colleagues."

“If it were not for the professionalism of the Omsk doctors, it is unlikely that Navalny would now be giving interviews,” the association stressed.

The president of the National Medical Chamber, doctor Leonid Roshal, also reacted to the blogger's words, noting that it was Omsk doctors who did not allow Navalny to die, and also brought Navalny to a transportable state.

He recalled that while the German pilots delayed the flight for several hours, as they needed to sleep.

Roshal also recalled that Navalny's analyzes were sent to several laboratories immediately after admission to the Omsk hospital.

“If I’m the chief physician and three laboratories give me the result that they don’t find anything, then I’m a killer?” Roshal said in an interview with Lenta.ru.

Doctor Alexander Myasnikov also reacted sharply to Navalny's words, saying that Navalny must, according to the law, answer for libel against doctors in Omsk.

"In the news:" Alexei Navalny believes that the Omsk doctors wanted him dead. "

Listen, you: would you like - you would have died on the first day! "

- Myasnikov wrote in his Telegram channel.

Recall that Navalny was urgently hospitalized in an Omsk hospital after he became ill on board an airplane flying from Tomsk to Moscow.

Russian doctors, after conducting the necessary research, did not establish the presence of poisons in the patient's body.

When, according to the doctors, the patient's condition stabilized, he was transferred to the German clinic "Charite".

In turn, the German authorities said that the studies carried out allegedly revealed traces of poisoning of the patient by Novichok.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has repeatedly pointed out that Moscow has not received adequate answers from Berlin to its inquiries on the situation with Navalny.

On the eve, the official representative of the Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said that Moscow had offered the OPCW to send experts from the organization's technical secretariat to Russia to interact with Russian specialists in the current situation.

“Taking into account the situation around the“ poisoning ”of Alexei Navalny, declared by Berlin and its Euro-Atlantic allies, the leadership of the technical secretariat of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons through the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the OPCW on October 1 received a proposal to consider the possibility of sending experts from the Secretariat to Russia to interact with Russian specialists in this issue, ”she said.

Zakharova added that Moscow is counting on cooperation with the structure in order to clarify "very ambiguous circumstances of what happened."
