and Mossos sources have confirmed to Efe, Angela Dobrowolski, 37 years old, was arrested by the Catalan police last June after finding indications that she tried to kill her husband, who is diabetic, giving him insulin while he slept, causing him to go into a coma.
After going to court, the woman was released with charges and without bail accused of a crime of attempted murder with treachery, and with the obligation to appear to sign in court every week.
The investigation indicates that the woman devised a premeditated plan to end the life of her 72-year-old husband, with whom she no longer lived, which she tried to carry out on June 22.
In the early morning hours of June 22-23, the family had dinner at Mainat's home, and the man subsequently retired to sleep.
During the night, the surveillance cameras of the house captured how the woman entered Mainat's bedroom several times and, taking advantage of the fact that he was sound asleep, administered insulin.
The victim, who is diabetic, went into hypoglycemia, a drop in blood sugar and then into a coma.
After 20 minutes and a pronounced drop in blood glucose, the defendant called an ambulance whose health workers found Mainat in a coma.
