01 October 2020 Two people died and another was hospitalized for injuries sustained in a traffic accident that took place overnight on the A26: the car they were traveling in hit two wild boars and went off the road. It happened at 3.40 shortly after the Biandrate tollbooth, towards Gravellona: the three were traveling in a car driven by the man who was injured. Suddenly, two large wild boars passed through and the driver could not avoid them: the car went off the road and the passenger (39 years old) who was sitting in the back was thrown out of the cockpit, dying instantly. The same fate for the 32-year-old transported in the seat next to the driver. The driver was instead transported in yellow code to the Novara hospital.
