The correctional court of Béziers (Hérault) sentenced, this Wednesday, two women who had attacked a teacher in Agde to a prison sentence of one year, accompanied by a probationary suspension of two years, with the prohibition to contact the victim and the obligations to compensate and work.

The prosecution had requested four months of firm imprisonment and four months suspended probation against the defendants.

This mother and grandmother of a student, educated in Cap d'Agde, had violently attacked a teacher, in the office of the director of the establishment, on September 30, 2019. The victim had been beaten, insulted and threatened with death.

A filmed assault

The two defendants would not have supported the child, aged 6, being reprimanded by the victim in the playground a few hours earlier.

The assault was filmed.

The teacher had filed a complaint, and taken care of by a psychologist.

During their police custody and before the prosecutor, in October 2019, the two women had admitted the facts with which they were accused, saying strongly regret their behavior and repeating wanting to apologize to the complainant, then indicated Raphaël Balland. , the public prosecutor of Béziers.
