Al-Jazeera correspondent, quoting the Office of the Republic's Attorney General in Istanbul, reported that the office has prepared a second indictment in the case of the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi against six new Saudi citizens suspected of involvement in the murder.

The second indictment accuses two employees of the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, assistant consul Sultan Yahya Abdul-Bari and the consulate attaché, "Yasser Khaled bin Salman," of planning in advance, participating in and carrying out the crime of Khashoggi with brutal feelings and torture on October 2, 2018.

As for the other four who were subjected to the indictment, they are four Saudi citizens who came from Saudi Arabia to Istanbul on October 10 and 11, 2018, that is, about a week after the crime, to obscure the evidence, and they are Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Janoubi, Khaled Yahya Al-Zahrani, Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Zaid and Obaid Ghazi Al-Asadi.

The indictment described the six Saudis as fugitives.

It is noteworthy that, on April 11, the Istanbul Criminal Court accepted a first indictment against twenty defendants for their involvement in the Khashoggi murder.

It is also reported that the second trial session of the accused Khashoggi crime will take place in Istanbul on November 2020.

New details

The new list contained details that were not previously mentioned, including that Khadija Genghis, the fiancée of the murdered Khashoggi, stated in the interrogation report that after the news of what happened, Jamal Abdullah's son called her and asked her about the authenticity of the news.

He stressed on her in Etisalat that "do not give his father's personal belongings to anyone, especially not give his laptop computers and phones to anyone," expressing her belief that he was concerned that Khashoggi's property and personal information would be used against the Khashoggi family.

For its part, the Khashoggi family was in Saudi Arabia, and issued a statement through its legal advisor, Mutassim Khashoggi, that they did not know Khadija.

The indictment calls for life imprisonment for the two employees of the Saudi consulate, Yasser Khalid bin Salman and Sultan Yahya Abdul Bari, on suspicion of participating in prior planning in Khashoggi's crime and participating in its execution with brutal feelings with torture on October 2, 2018.
