He is one of those who attacked Mila, the teenager from Isère who published in January a viral video criticizing Islam with virulence.

He even threatened her with death.

A 23-year-old young man was sentenced this Thursday to three years in prison including 18 months closed by the criminal court of Auch, in the Gers.

The defendant, who is under guardianship and lives in a home for disabled adults, had already been convicted no later than September 10 for threatening young girls on a bus.

He is also expected shortly before the court of Tarbes, his hometown, in a drug case.

The "right to blasphemy"

The video of Mila had sparked such a barrage of threats that the teenager had to drop out of high school.

She had also received many supports, including that of the President of the Republic in person.

Emmanuel Macron then affirmed in an interview with

Dauphiné Libéré

"the right to blasphemy" and to "criticize religions".

The case had pursued Mila until this summer when, during a linguistic stay in Malta, she had been threatened with death and rape by an Algerian living in France.

The latter was also condemned by the Maltese justice.

Other people are indicted for threats or for disseminating the girl's contact details.
