It was at 11 o'clock on Wednesday that three trucks collided on the E6 at the height of Saxtorpsskogen.
- The cab of one of the trucks is completely demolished, said Anders Magnusson, SVT's photographer on the spot.
Died of injuries
A woman was taken to hospital by ambulance with life-threatening injuries.
She later died, police say on their website.
Relatives are notified.
At 15.30 the trucks were salvaged from the site and the road was open to traffic again.
The police will investigate what caused the accident.
