According to reports, the spokesperson said: “After analysis and investigation, it was determined that the space station’s air leak was located in Russia’s “Star” cabin. The service cabin mainly contained scientific research equipment. The leak of the service cabin compartment has been eliminated.”

He said that the specific leak location is being investigated.

He also pointed out: "The current situation does not pose a danger to the health and safety of the astronauts on the International Space Station, nor does it hinder the flight of the International Space Station."

Currently, Russian astronauts Anatoly Ivanishin, Ivan Wagner, and American astronaut Christopher Cassidy are on duty at the International Space Station.

The air leak is not the first time it has occurred on the space station.

As early as 2018, a gas leak was detected on the International Space Station. After investigation, the staff found a hole about 2 mm in diameter on the "Soyuz MS-09" spacecraft docked with the International Space Station.
