New corona vaccination policy not to ask for self-pay Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare October 1, 5:12

Regarding vaccination against the new coronavirus, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has decided not to ask for self-pay so that those who want it can receive it free of charge.

Regarding the vaccine for the new corona virus, the government has reached a basic agreement with pharmaceutical companies in the United States and the United Kingdom to receive the vaccine if it is successfully developed, and has also negotiated with another American company to receive the vaccine. We are proceeding and aim to start vaccination from the first half of next year.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has decided not to ask for self-pay so that those who wish to receive the vaccine can receive the vaccination free of charge, saying that it is necessary to proceed with vaccination as soon as the vaccine is available in order to prevent infection.

We will utilize this year's reserve fund and make adjustments in the direction of taking necessary financial measures.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare is in the process of formulating a basic policy toward the start of vaccination, and is urgently considering the priority of vaccination, which has not yet been concluded.
