China News Service, Kathmandu, September 30, New Delhi News: The Ministry of Interior of India announced on the 30th a series of measures for the fifth phase of unblocking: starting from October 15, cinemas will resume operations on a limited basis, and state governments can also decide whether to reopen school.

To prevent and control the new crown pneumonia epidemic, India began a nationwide blockade on March 24 this year.

In early June, the Indian government decided to unblock it in stages.

According to the regulations issued by the Ministry of the Interior on September 30, except for controlled areas, cinemas and theaters in various places can resume operations from October 15th, but the number of consumers accepted shall not exceed 50% of the approved number.

Starting from October 15th, swimming pools can be opened for athletes' training use, business-to-business (B2B) exhibitions can start to be held, and places such as entertainment parks can also be opened to the public.

Starting from October 15th, state governments can also decide whether to reopen and how to reopen the school.

The Ministry of Interior of India stated that all relevant departments should make a decision after thorough evaluation and consultation with schools and institutions.

However, the Indian Ministry of the Interior still encourages schools to use online teaching as the first choice.

If a school decides to resume face-to-face classes, students can only go to school after their parents have issued written consent.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Interior of India, from October 15th, each state can decide whether to relax the regulations on social, academic, sports, religious and other gathering activities with no more than 100 people.

"India Today" reported that this is to facilitate the public to celebrate the upcoming Tokachi, Diwali, Durga and other important festivals.

Prior to this, most government departments, domestic flights, urban subways, buses and restaurants, hotels, etc. in India have resumed operations under the premise of complying with the corresponding sanitary rules.

As of press time, the cumulative number of new crown cases in India has exceeded 6.22 million, ranking second in the world.

The more severely affected states of Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra have extended their blockades to October 31.
