September 30, 2020 The first state of emergency for the Covid-19 epidemic was declared in Slovakia from March 15 to June 13.
From tomorrow everything closes for a new increase in cases: only yesterday there were 567, a record number in the last few days.
So Prime Minister Igor Matovic reported that the state of emergency, which gives his government extraordinary powers to curb the contagion, will remain in effect for 45 days starting tomorrow 1 October.
“A period that could lengthen, says Matovic, based on the impact of travel on the occasion of the feast of the saints. Only then will we decide whether to extend or return to normal ”.
