A 24-year-old man has just lodged a complaint after being assaulted Tuesday by three or four young individuals in Annecy (Haute-Savoie).

Around 4:30 p.m., the victim was walking on the banks of the Thiou when she was attacked by a gang, as revealed by

According to his testimony, the man was then mistreated and suffered numerous homophobic insults.

Then according to him, the Annecy was assaulted for his sexual orientation.

After receiving many blows, he allegedly managed to grab the cell phone of one of the attackers and fled.

Alerted, the police arrested the owner of the phone an hour later.

He is a 17-year-old man from Annecy, taken into police custody for violence in meetings.

The suspect denied being the perpetrator.

The investigation is underway to find his accomplices.
