It has been a while since thefts "from the trailer", that is to say thefts by breaking into parked cars, multiplied in Strasbourg and the neighboring municipalities.

Until September 24, when the staff of the Light Cynophile Unit (UCL) of Strasbourg arrested in flagrante delicto the author of a theft committed in a vehicle, rue d'Orbey in Strasbourg.

On the young man, the police found all the necessary equipment for this kind of theft, even burglaries: screwdriver, wire cutters, window hammer.

The police also found various objects from previous thefts in other vehicles.

Six more flights

The investigators of the Property Attack Group, after a long work of cross-checking and analyzing the various technical and scientific investigations, made the link with six other thefts, carried out since last February in Strasbourg, Schiltigheim and Illkirch-Graffenstaden.

Presented this Monday for immediate appearance, the defendant, who already benefited from a suspended sentence, revoked at the end of his hearings, received a one-year prison sentence with continued detention.
