President Trump's nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to replace Justice Ginsburg on the US Supreme Court has been formally submitted to the US Senate, White House says.

Earlier, Trump said that he had already decided on a candidate for the post of judge in the US Supreme Court.
The oldest member of the US Supreme Court, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, died on September 18 at the age of 87.
