The opposition in Malung-Sälen consists of the Left Party, the Moderates, the Rural Independence Party and the Sweden Democrats.

Their now unanimous no to wind power on Ripfjället means that some moderates turn to the issue, even though they are positive about the park, they will vote no.

- For me, it is a question of democracy.

We wanted a referendum and now I accept the result, says Opposition Councilor Mikael Östling (M).

The ruling party, the Social Democrats, the Liberals and the Center Party have not yet taken a stand as parties, but two of the top politicians there have already decided to vote yes.

- A referendum should give advice.

I do not need advice, I am already positive about wind power, says Pär Kindlund (C).

- I can not go against my conviction to say yes and change my mind, just because it became a little harder, says Thomas Eriksson (L).

Municipal councilor Hans Unander (S) is also considering voting yes.

- Maybe I will do it personally, but now we will have a democratic process in our party, says Hans Unander (S).
