Despite the pandemic, Film i Glasriket will carry out this year's film festival for audiences in Kalmar and Kronoberg counties, however, requirements for certain restrictions will be introduced.
- It feels very good to be able to do it a year like this.
We have discussed and see that our premises and cinemas are appropriate to be able to keep spaces in the rows of seats and follow the Public Health Agency's restrictions, says Christina Kronmar, chairman of Film i Glasriket.
The number of movies is reduced
This year is the 14th festival for Film in the Kingdom of Glass and it takes place between October 23 and November 1.
- We have had two weeks during previous festivals, but due to the prevailing pandemic, we have limited the festival to one week.
In addition, the number of films in the tableau is fewer this year compared to previous years, says Christina Kronmar.
Inauguration in Uppvidinge
The festival opens on October 21 with the Swedish film "Sprin Uje upring" in Fröske folkets hus in Uppvidinge municipality.
- We see an opportunity to highlight the new Swedish films that have been produced and will show some of them, she says.
