The new model is about the rent for the home being determined on the basis of the use value.

The model is already used by several other housing companies in the public utility.

But for Gotlandshem, the new model will be put into use on 1 January 2021.

- There have been many parameters to consider and now we are at the finish line.

It is a good model that explains why the rent looks like it does for each home, says Susanne Davidsson, negotiation leader, the Tenants' Association region Southeast in a press release.

Most of GotlandsHem's blocks are affected by the new rent.

In total, there are just over 4,100 homes.

The blocks that are not included are: Boföreningen Kakelugnsmakaren 1 in Terra Nova, Studentbostäderna in the blocks Järnvägen 6 and Rekylen 1, Trilobiten 1, Bläckfisken 3, Adjutante 1, 3 and 4 and Sergeanten 5.
