29 September 2020 Condemned the 19 former regional councilors of Liguria accused of embezzlement in the trial for crazy expenses in the Region in the 2005-2010 legislature.
The court ordered the confiscation of the disputed sums.
According to the accusation, the former councilors would have used public money, from a few hundred to a few thousand euros, for personal purchases: DVDs, plants, sweets, croissants, bottles of wine and hotel stays with wellness programs.
The following were sentenced: Michele Boffa (Pd) 19 months and ten days, Ezio Chiesa (Pd) 17 months and ten days, Luigi Cola (Pd) 20 months, Giacomo Conti (Rifondazione) 19 months, Gino Garibaldi (Forza Italia) 20 months , Antonino Miceli (Pd) 17 months and ten days, Cristina Morelli (Verdi) two years, Luigi Morgillo (Fi) 18 months and ten days, Minella Mosca (Pd) 14 months, Vincenzo Nesci (Rifondazione) two years, Pietro Oliva ( Fi) 18 months and ten days, Franco Orsi (Fi) 18 months and ten days, Gianni Plinio (National Alliance) 13 months and twenty days, Matteo Rosso (Fi) 13 months, Gabriele Saldo (Fi) 16 months, Alessio Saso ( Fi) 23 months, Carlo Vasconi (Verdi) 16 months, Vito Vattuone (Pd) 15 months and twenty days, Moreno Veschi 13 months.
