September 29, 2020The pandemic "showed us how precious Italian workers are in Switzerland and in Ticino in particular. With President Sommaruga we welcomed the progress made by the Ministry of Economy and Switzerland for a negotiation on the tax treatment of frontier workers : we want an agreement as favorable as possible in the mutual interest and we hope that it can be reached by the end of the year ".

Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said this in a joint press release with the president of the Swiss confederation Simonetta Sommaruga. "Cooperation has no alternatives," Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said in the joint press statement. "The crisis has shown how the destinies of Italy and Switzerland are linked together", adds Conte.
