Two women seized photos and posted a video clip of a policeman while arresting a suspect

The Dubai Police General Command has arrested two women who filmed and posted a video clip on social media sites of a policeman while performing his job duties in arresting and controlling a suspect who refused to appear for legal procedures and resisted his arrest procedure for committing the crime of criminal trespass, violating Decree Law No. 5 of 2012 for To combat information technology crimes in the matter of "violating the privacy of others."

The Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigations and Investigations at Dubai Police, Brigadier Jamal Salem Al-Jallaf, confirmed that the two women, by publishing the video clip, violated the decree of the Law on Combating Information Technology Crimes in attacking the privacy of a policeman while performing his job duties, indicating that Dubai Police took the necessary legal measures against the two women. .

Brigadier General Al-Jalaf clarified that the decree of the Law on Combating Information Technology Crimes stipulates in its Article No. 21 that: “Anyone who uses a computer network shall be punished with imprisonment for a period of no less than six months and a fine not less than one hundred fifty thousand dirhams and not in excess of five hundred thousand dirhams or one of these two penalties. Or an electronic information system, or an information technology means, in attacking the privacy of a person in other than the cases authorized by law, in one of the following ways: 1 - overhearing, intercepting, recording, transmitting, broadcasting, or disclosing conversations, communications, or audio or visual materials 2- Taking pictures of others or preparing electronic images, transferring them, disclosing them, copying them or keeping them 3- Publishing news, electronic pictures, photographs, scenes, comments, data or information even if they are true and correct.

Also punishable by imprisonment for a period of no less than one year and a fine not less than two hundred and fifty thousand dirhams and not in excess of five hundred thousand dirhams or either of these two penalties, whoever uses an electronic information system, or an information technology means, to make any amendment or processing on a recording or photo Or a scene, with the intent to defame or offend another person, or attack or violate his privacy.

Brigadier General Al-Jalaf called on community members to respect the privacy of others and not to violate it by posting videos or pictures on social media sites, in addition to not photographing and circulating police security operations, as this is a clear violation of the decree of the Law on Combating Information Technology Crimes.
