According to the ministry, 772.7 thousand Russians visited Turkey in eight months, which is 6.25 times less than in the same period last year.
The number of Russian citizens was in first place among foreign travelers who rested in Turkish resorts in August.
This is followed by the British - 261 thousand, the Ukrainians - 256 thousand and the Germans - 170 thousand.
Earlier, the Consulate General of Russia in Antalya reported more frequent refusals to enter Turkey due to the expiring passport.
