Establishing a human resources bank for each prefecture to secure public health nurses September 29, 4:14 with support for the new corona

In order to strengthen the system of public health nurses that deal with the new coronavirus, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has decided to establish a "human resources bank" for each prefecture, which gathers qualified but not working public health nurses.

In response to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, public health nurses are conducting surveys to identify the behavioral history of infected people and identify close contacts at health centers nationwide, but the increase in infected people puts pressure on work. The maintenance of the system has become an issue.

For this reason, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has decided to establish a "human resources bank" for each prefecture to register public health nurses who are qualified but not working due to marriage or childbirth.

In the event of an emergency such as the spread of an infection, we will try to reduce the burden on the public health nurse by having a public health nurse registered in the "Human Resources Bank" work at a public health nurse or go to support across prefectures.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare plans to include the necessary expenses in the budget request for the next fiscal year and start operation from next year.
