China News Agency, Bangkok, September 28 (Reporter Wang Guoan) Thailand's New Coronary Pneumonia Epidemic Management Center announced on the 28th that 22 new cases of imported new coronary pneumonia were confirmed in the country, and the total number of confirmed cases nationwide rose to 3545.

Among the new cases, 16 were Thai soldiers who returned home after the UN peacekeeping mission in South Sudan, and the other 6 were Thai citizens who had returned from India, Pakistan, and the Philippines.

On July 1, 2020, local time, in Pathum Thani, Thailand, the school resumed classes. The old ballot box was placed on the desk to help students maintain social distance.

As of that day, 3,369 of the 3,545 confirmed cases in Thailand have been cured, 59 have died, and 117 are still in hospital.

Thai Prime Minister Prayut presided over a meeting of the New Crown Pneumonia Epidemic Management Center that day.

The meeting discussed and decided to extend the implementation period of the State of Emergency Law, which was originally scheduled to expire at the end of this month, by one month to the end of October.

This is the sixth time Thailand has extended the time limit since implementing the emergency law on March 26.

The State of Emergency Law gives the government the power to implement compulsory quarantine measures, simplify the approval process for the epidemic prevention and control plan, and ensure smooth cooperation among various departments.
