Rosengårdsskolan was forced to close its high school in 2013, after serious problems with the work environment for students and teachers.

- It is a great failure when you get there for both the school and the surrounding community, says Anders Malmquist, primary school director for Malmö municipality.

However, he believes that the risk is very small that the chaotic situation will be repeated and that high school will have to be closed again.

- In schools in socially vulnerable areas, we have strengthened with more resources, says Anders Malmquist.

According to the director of compulsory school, however, there are factors that make it more difficult to conduct a good education in Rosengård and other socially disadvantaged districts.

He refers, among other things, to the parents' level of education and the fact that fewer people speak Swedish at home.

- It has a huge impact on students' ability to achieve goals in school, says Anders Malmquist.
